The problem isn't a lack of effort
Help should not require professional-level navigation skills.
People in crisis are often handed a list of resources and expected to find their own way through disconnected agencies, eligibility rules, paperwork, waitlists, and dead ends.
Helping Hands is being built to change that experience. We begin with the person, understand the whole situation, respond to what is urgent, and create a practical path toward lasting stability.
Stop asking, “Why don't people use the resources?” Ask, “Why have we built systems that are so difficult to navigate?”

Human Navigation
A real person who listens, helps make sense of complicated systems, and stays alongside someone as they move forward.
Housing & Stability
Practical help navigating housing, benefits, employment, education, healthcare, mental health, recovery, and reunification.
Justice & Advocacy
Legal navigation, quality representation, reentry support, and systemic advocacy through the future Helping Hands Justice Center.
Planned program areas include homeless aid, low-income support, housing, medical and mental-health navigation, employment and education, family reunification, reentry, coaching, legal services, and community systems development.
